Random Whims and Fancy Quirk

D’après moi, in my personal humble opinion, writing testimonial is definitely not an obligation. For me, such thing as "I’ve written you a testimonial and therefore you’ve to write one for me" is just plainly wrong.  I’ve known some pple who wrote testimonials just so that others wrote one back for them  but I think that is just an act of egocentrism. And it’s a testimonial to themselves how insincere they are. Although admittedly, not everyone who ask others to write a testimonial have this motive behind them.

Well my reasoning is this:

I think testimonial is something like your true impression of the person that you’re writing for. It should be something that comes from your heart.. a sincere reflection of what you really think of that person.

And I think you could only write so when you sincerely feel like you want to give some credit/acknowledgement/attestation to that very person you’re writing for. It takes the right time to do it.. -Agreed it doesn’t happen very often..-  but when the right time comes, imagine the wonderful testimonial that you would’ve made. It’s like when you’re writing your friend’s autograph book when you know that you’re not going to see each other again for a very long time.

I’m not saying that all my testimonials are a great piece of literature..(I sucked at language) but at least they’re all genuinely written from the bottom of my heart.. (it’s ironic how I use cliché here). Under-pressure-kind-of-testimonial tends to be very cliché. vraiment!!

So dear readers, now you know that I’m against the practice of forcing others to write a testimonial for you. Which then explains why it always took me a long time to write any testimonial for my friends. Which is why they always complain to me how I "owe" them a testimonial. Which sometimes irritates me. Which is partly the reason why I’m writing this in my blog.

Oh.. and afterall.. wouldn’t you think that it’ll be a pleasant surprise to open your friendster account one day and found that someone has written you a testimonial?? –Not because you’ve nagged them for ages to write you one.. but rather because they remember you, they’ve thought about you.. and  they feel the urge to write you a testimonial!! Formidable!!

P.S. I hope I did no offense to anyone.. I still love you even if you’ve nagged me for years to write you a testimonial =P just be patient.. soyez-vous patient!

Actually I never really understand the whole point of blogging.. Like what? so that others would have a peek at your private life? And of course by now you’d probably wonder.. what the hell am I doing with this blog?? Well.. I dunno.. I suppose I’m just following the mainstream… After all we are social creature..therefore we imitate.. at least I do.. and you’ll be a hypocrite if you say that you don’t… and spare me those ‘I’m different.. I don’t follow the mainstream’ excuses.. coz the truth is.. you’re just following the ‘other’ stream which consist of pple who claimed that they dun want to follow the’mainstream’.. Am I making sense here..?? nvm.. thus the title..

My philosophy is that.. if 2 pple of opposite sex finds each other attractive (given that they’re straight of course..) there’s bound to be sparks going on between them at one point of time.

I’d say that it’s hypocritical…

and have I told you that I’m SO against the pple who adopt the brother-sister thingy..??

Please.. if you like or care for him/her that much.. just say that you’re attracted to him/her. period. full stop. But if you’re not.. then he/she is a friend. As simple as that. "But she’s/ he’s more than just a friend" you say.. Then they’re your close friend! (But based on my initial argument above.. I think you’re simply attracted to him/her)

Really.. there’s no need to ‘adopt’ him/her to be your adopted-brother/sister.. even me and my brothers dun have such a ‘romantic’ relationship!! get real man..
